Courier Integration

DPD Integration for Shipping Software

Shipster connects your warehouse, ERP or eCommerce platform directly to DPD, so orders are booked, labelled and tracked automatically. Print compliant DPD labels from your existing pick-and-pack workflow, apply your own routing rules, and push tracking numbers back to your sales channels without anyone re-keying an address.

Why ship with DPD through Shipster

Four things change the day you move DPD onto Shipster.

01

Control your costs

Route each parcel to the cheapest DPD service that still meets the promise you sold. No per-label fee from us, so peak volume never inflates your software bill.

02

Cut despatch errors

Addresses, weights and service codes come straight from the order. Fewer carrier surcharges, fewer failed deliveries, fewer WISMO tickets for your support team.

03

Ship compliantly

Customs data, IOSS and EORI numbers, Windsor Framework and ICS2 requirements are handled on the paperwork automatically for cross-border DPD services.

04

Talk to a human

UK-based support by phone, email and ticket. If DPD changes a label spec or an API, we handle the update — it is included in your licence.

DPD services supported

Shipster supports the DPD domestic and international services below. Each one can be selected manually at the packing bench or triggered automatically by a shipping rule — based on weight, value, destination, SKU, channel or delivery promise.

Labels & documents

DPD-compliant thermal labels, consignment notes, manifests and end-of-day handover reports generate on despatch — plus CN22/CN23 and commercial invoices where the destination requires them.

Tracking & notifications

Tracking references are written back to Shopify, Amazon, Linnworks or your WMS the moment the label prints, so customers get their DPD notification without a manual upload.

Your DPD account

Shipster runs on your own DPD account and negotiated rates. We connect the integration; your commercial relationship and pricing with DPD stay exactly as they are.

How the DPD integration works

1

Orders arrive

Shipster pulls orders from your eCommerce platform, marketplace, ERP or WMS — or receives them via the Shipster API.

2

Rules decide

Your shipping rules choose the right DPD service for each parcel, and split, combine or hold consignments as needed.

3

Labels print

The consignment is booked with DPD and the label and paperwork print at the packing station in one action.

4

Tracking

Tracking numbers flow back to the source system and on to the customer, and the DPD manifest closes at end of day.

DPD integration FAQs

Does Shipster integrate with DPD?

Yes. DPD is a supported courier integration in Shipster. Shipster books DPD consignments, prints compliant DPD labels and paperwork, and returns tracking numbers to your sales channels automatically.

Do I need my own DPD account?

Yes. Shipster ships on your own DPD account using your negotiated rates. We connect the integration and configure the services you use; your commercial terms with DPD are unaffected.

How much does the DPD integration cost?

Shipster is licensed at a flat £50 per licence per month with a four-licence minimum (£200 a month). A one-off onboarding and installation fee applies — £2,500 standard, or £1,500 on a two-year commitment. There is no charge per label or per shipment, so your cost does not rise with peak volume.

Can I use DPD alongside other couriers?

Yes. Shipster is a multi-carrier platform with over 150 courier integrations, including Royal Mail, Evri, UPS, FedEx, DHL and GLS. Your shipping rules can pick between DPD and any other connected carrier on an order-by-order basis.

Which systems can I connect DPD to?

Shipster connects DPD to eCommerce platforms and marketplaces such as Shopify, Amazon and Linnworks, warehouse systems including Descartes Peoplevox, Ordorite and Minster WMS, and ERPs such as Futura Retail and Swan Retail. Anything else can be connected through the Shipster API or a bespoke integration.

Does it handle international customs paperwork?

Yes. Shipster generates customs documentation for cross-border DPD services and supports IOSS, EORI, Windsor Framework and ICS2 requirements, producing CN22, CN23 and commercial invoices as the destination demands.

How long does setup take?

Guided onboarding and installation are included in the one-off fee. Timescales depend on how many systems you are connecting and how complex your shipping rules are — get in touch and we will scope it against your operation.
