Commercial Invoices, International Shipping Documents and More

Managing and organizing various promotional and essential shipping documents is challenging, especially for businesses involved in frequent international trade. Shipster simplifies this by automating the generatation, data mapping and printing all documents required per shipment, minimizing errors and saving valuable time.

For customizing the designs of your documents*, Shipster offers two options: we can add your branding to our document templates or implement a complete design provided by your creative team. We can set up multiple document versions, automatically assigning the appropriate version based on parameters such as shipping destination country. This flexibility is particularly valuable for clients who choose to print documents in the language of the customer.

*As you may know, certain shipping documents cannot be personalized due to industry-wide standardization, such as some shipping labels, and the necessity for cross-border compliance

What we include

Shipster includes the generation of all shipping documents you request per shipment type and destination.

  • Commercial Invoices, international shipping documents, air waybills, customs declarations, CN22s and more.
  • Basic customisation by our team or the implementation of your own complete design
  • Generation of official shipping labels for any integrated courier
  • Bespoke shipping rules for when to trigger each document
  • Flat monthly licence fee
  • Real-time telephone support with a support engineer

Customizing Shipping Documents

In addition to custom designs for your documents, the Shipster shipping rules engine can be customised to trigger when and which documents you want to print alongside different order types. Triggers can include various shipment parameters such as product weight, type, and destination, or use other data such as time of year and date of purchase.

This helps to efficiently and accurately include the correct promotional documents where relevant and the correct international shipping documentation where needed to ensure a compliant shipping process. These include customs declarations, promotions, commercial invoices and more.

More Information

Shipster's pricing structure is intentionally crafted for clarity and user-friendliness. It consists of an initial onboarding fee, followed by a straightforward monthly licensing fee. The number of licenses needed is directly linked to the number of packing benches and courier integrations you require, and you can easily calculate this on our pricing page. Through Shipster's control panel, you retain the flexibility to activate or deactivate licenses (installations and couriers) as necessary, enabling you to efficiently manage costs. Your monthly bill is determined by the highest number of licenses used during that billing cycle, making it ideal for optimizing operations during peak periods, such as Black Friday—a highly valued feature among our clients. Additional documents and document customisation is covered by the licence fee, as is technical support, updates and configuration changes.

Onboarding with Shipster typically spans a 2-6 week timeframe, contingent on your preparedness and the readiness of other parties in the integration stack. We've streamlined this process with a systematic project management approach and provide comprehensive worksheets to simplify your experience. Once these initial steps are completed, the lion's share of the workload falls into our capable hands.

Exceptional customer support is the core of our commitment. Our devoted support team is ever-prepared to aid you with inquiries, concerns, or any customizations you require for your shipping documentation or automation. Whether it involves real-time technical troubleshooting over the phone, guidance on enhancing your shipping process, or promptly addressing your needs, rest assured, we are dedicated to ensuring your experience with Shipster is seamless and efficient. Your success remains our foremost priority, and we stand by your side, ready to implement any document updates, customizations, or technical changes you may need along your journey with us.

Shipping Rules & Document Generation

Shipping rules play a vital role in ensuring the correct shipping documents are generated with the necessary information for international shipments. These rules help automate the document generation process, reducing errors, ensuring compliance with export regulations or even promoting greener shipping with paperless options.

One way shipping rules are used is by triggering the correct shipping documents based on the destination country. Each country has its own customs requirements, and by setting up rules, businesses can generate the specific customs documentation required for that particular destination. This could include documents such as the certificate of origin or the customs declaration.

Additionally, shipping rules can also be used to automate the inclusion of details specific to each shipment. For example, the rules can pull in the appropriate duty rates, insurance requirements, or any additional documents necessary for the specific type of goods being shipped.

By utilizing shipping rules, businesses can streamline the document generation process, ensuring all the crucial shipping documents are created accurately and efficiently. This not only saves time but also ensures compliance with international trade regulations and reduces the risk of delays or complications during customs clearance.
