An Post is The Republic of Ireland’s largest, and state owned courier service. As well as being Ireland’s most widely used courier, An Post is generally a huge part of the country’s infrastructure. Since its foundation in 1984, this courier has developed into overseeing a multitude of national services from television licencing to banking.
Whilst An Post does offer reliable and popular international delivery, it’s unique selling point is it’s connection and speedy delivery to even the most remote regions of Ireland. For this reason, for companies shipping domestically within Ireland, An Post is an excellent and highly favoured option. On their website, they market one of their major strengths as being their fully integrated system that is responsible for the whole delivery process from your website to the customer’s front door.
They particularly specialise in delivery solutions for ecommerce businesses that send at least 30 parcels per day, offering services in bundles, making them an excellent choice for small to medium enterprises. They offer a range of quick domestic services that cater to different retailers’ shipping needs, all with tracking and email/text notifications as standard. Whilst it has less benefits than their express service (such as signature upon arrival and insurance), even An Post’s standard service claims to deliver the next working day! An Post also have an extraordinary same day delivery service for packages going to Dublin for only €9.50. If you drop off your parcel by 11am, it will arrive in Dublin before 3.30pm.
Another reason An Post is favoured by Irish ecommerce businesses is because they do multiple, hassle-free returns options. Many of these solutions come with helpful features as standard such as tracked returns and express upgrades.

An Post’s ability to oversee and regulate the whole Shipment process allows for greater care to be taken with delicate or high value items, making them an excellent option for I Love Shopping's luxury products.
